Present

I’m a motivated, organised and composed Runner, looking to gain more experience and make the next steps in my career towards becoming a Junior Researcher. I have recently finished being mentored as part of the ScreenSkills and Wildscreen Emerging Talent Mentorship Scheme, and am available and actively looking for entry-level roles.

Bio

I’m an enthusiastic and driven wildlife filmmaker, with an academic background in Wildlife Documentary Production and Zoology. I have a solid technical knowledge and an aptitude for problem solving and quick-thinking. I am proficient in using a range of HD and UHD camera systems, as well as having experience in 8K. I have a good understanding of all aspects of production through my studies, broadcast credits and volunteering. In addition to this I am experienced in a number of post-production programs, such as DaVinci Resolve, AVID, Premiere Pro and Shotput Pro. I hope to combine my scientific and creative skillsets to inspire and educate the next generation of wildlife conservationists and nature lovers!

Education

MA Wildlife Documentary Production

Whilst in the final year of my undergraduate degree, I made the decision to utilise the zoological knowledge I had acquired during my Bachelor's and pursue a career in wildlife filmmaking, striving to create the very documentaries that ignited my love for the natural world. Consequently, I chose to study Wildlife Documentary Production at the University of Salford, graduating with a Merit in 2019. The films produced during my studies took me to numerous sites across the UK, from filming Oystercatchers (Haematopus ostralegus) in Scotland, to Great Crested Grebes (Podiceps cristatus) in the Peak District, to Red Soldier Beetles (Rhagonycha fulva) in Lancashire.

BSc (Hons) Zoology

A lifetime passion for wildlife lead me to choose to study Zoology at the University of Leeds, from which I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in 2018. As well as being on the Dean's List in my second and third year, I received the Wynne Owen Award for 'Outstanding Dissertation Project' for my final year research project on the effects of ageing and breeding on the immune system of European Badgers (Meles meles).
